quiet fishing village which today hosts a good cross-section
of local families, fishermen, visitors and summer vacationers.
It’s a charming area with strong traditional ties to its
Azorean roots and customs, but also a spot much sought out by
visitors looking for something a little off the beaten path.
With several excellent seafood restaurants along its shores,
Sambaqui is also host to some incredible sunset views. Hard
to beat for a great oyster lunch and relaxing afternoon stroll
